Preface

Sponsored by NSF China and NSF USA, The Third U.S.-China Computer Science Leadership Summit was held at Peking University, June 14~15, 2010. Over 50 senior computer scientists from both countries came together, exchanging the status of research activities and discussing future trends in computer science. After the event, some of the delegates are kind enough to write down their thoughts exchanged during the summit, which forms the major part of this special section collection.
