A New Algebraic Modelling Approach to Distributed Problem-Solving in MAS

  • This paper is devoted to a new algebraic modelling approach todistributed problem-solving in multi-agent systems (MAS), which isfeatured by a unified framework for describing and treating socialbehaviors, social dynamics and social intelligence. A conceptualarchitecture of algebraic modelling is presented. The algebraicmodelling of typical social behaviors, social situation and socialdynamics is discussed in the context of distributed problem-solving inMAS. The comparison and simulation on distributed task allocations andresource assignments in MAS show more advantages of the algebraicapproach than other conventional methods.
