Ke Liu is the director of Division of Computer Science, Directorate of Information Sciences,National Natural Science Foundation of China. He received his B.S. degree from Department of Automatic Control, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Ph.D. degree in automatic control theory and its application from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. He served as a referee/editor for several academic journals, program/organization committee member for several international conferences, and investigator/principal investigator of over 10 projects on modeling and analysis of discrete/hybrid systems, and computer engineering. He has published over 40 technical papers, as well as a number of articles on technical review and science administration.
Zhi-Yong Liu received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, in 1987, and has worked as a professor in ICT, CAS, since 1987. From 1995 to 2006, he was the Executive Director General of the Directorate of Information Sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Since 2006, he has been a chair professor in the Advanced Research Laboratory, ICT, CAS. His research interests include computer architectures, algorithms, networks, and parallel and distributed processing. He published more than a hundred papers on academic journals and conferences, as well as a number of articles on technical review, science policy, and administration.
